„The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices“ and „Quarto“ Quartet

The renowned Bulgarian composer Georgi Andreev is at the heart of the new, inspiring project, "Voices and Strings", with the world-famous choir "The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices" and the acclaimed string quartet "Quarto". The premiere and only performance in Sofia will take place within the 54th edition of the International Festival "Sofia Music Weeks" in the "Bulgaria" Hall on June 26 at 19:00, the concert will feature the special performance of the famous pop singer Vladi Ampov - Grafa.

The idea for "Voices and Strings" belongs to the producer and choir manager, Boyana Bunkova, from "Schubert Music Publishing". The five compositions, written especially for this occasion by Georgi Andreev incorporate the incomparable beauty of folk singing with the string instruments of Ivan Penchev (violin), Svetlana Stancheva (violin), Tatyana Todorova (viola), Dimitar Tenchev (cello) - "Quarto" quartet, part of the Sofia Philharmonic. The musicians also participate in five iconic titles from the choir's repertoire, written by Petar Lyondev, Nikolay Stoykov, Stefan Mutafchiev, Hristo Todorov and Georgi Andreev himself.
