JUNGLE BROTHERS PERFORM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN BULGARIA

JUNGLE BROTHERS will perform in Bulgaria for the very first time. Invited by ‘On Stage’, the hip-hop legends will detonate the SOFIA LIVE CLUB on 21 April 2012, 22:00 h with their unmistakable trade mark – a unique mixture of Hip Hop, Hip House and Drum and Bass.

In Bulgaria Mike Gee, Afrika Baby Bam and Dj Sammy B, the creators of a whole movement in the styles of Jazz/Hip-Hop, Jungle/Drum & Bass and Hip House, will present an entirely refreshed funky show. “Expect a career-spanning set from the Native Tongue heroes  (De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest) that can truly claim the title Legendary” - emblematic artists for generations of Hip Hop fans who alongside the JBees created the legendary Native Tongues Posse – a project best described by the eccentric lyrics and beats influenced by electronic sound and jazz samples.

JUNGLE BROTHERS were created in the midst of Hip Hop’s Golden Age and have been creatively adapting to the changes in Hip Hop sound ever since. They first appeared in New York in 1988 with the album “Straight Out The Jungle” that according to some has revolutionized the whole Hip Hop industry.

During album recordings the NATIVE TONGUES POSSE was born – a collaboration project of innovative rap groups and artists (including De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, and later - MosDef) that influenced a whole generation of Hip Hop stars such as The Roots, Arrested Development, Pharcyde, Madlip, Common, Kanye West and many more.

After their hit debut, the group entered studio with Todd Terry, a famous New York underground club house producer, and created a whole new style - Hip House. The song "I'll House You" became an international hit and turned Terry into one of the most respected recording producers of all time.

JUNGLE BROTHERS come to Bulgaria as part of On Stage’s “By popular request….” a project of ELEVATION®.

We remind you that the first event of this series of concerts was Parov Stelar last December which sold out early.
