Floor Jansen joins Midalidare Rock in the Wine Valley 2025. The Nightwish vocalist will perform on the last day of the festival, July 13, sharing the stage with “the queen of metal” Doro and legend Alice Cooper. On this day, the Swedish symphonic power metal band Twilight Force will also perform.
From the Finnish Hall of Fame and frontwoman of multi-platinum Nightwish to After Forever, one of the pioneers of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen has enjoyed great national and international success. Her voice transcends genre boundaries, allowing her to deliver performances that resonate with audiences far beyond the metal scene.
Floor’s solo career started explosively in 2019 when she conquered the Netherlands with her masterful performance of “The Phantom of the Opera” on the TV show “Beste Zangers.” That same year, she was honored with the prestigious Dutch Pop Prize, recognizing her significant contribution to Dutch pop music. The announcement of her first solo tour sparked unprecedented interest, with tickets (~18,000) selling out in less than 24 hours.
In October 2022, Floor was diagnosed with breast cancer. After successful surgery, she quickly returned to the stage with Nightwish for their European tour, delivering two sold-out concerts at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. This exemplifies her endurance and unwavering dedication to music.
In March 2023, Floor released her debut solo album "Paragon," followed by a sold-out tour in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It’s remarkable that Floor began this tour while pregnant with her second daughter, Lucy.
With over 1.5 million followers on social media and a fan club of over 8,000 members, Floor continues to inspire. Her ability to evoke deep emotions through her performances and her remarkable range across various musical styles has solidified her as one of the most versatile and respected vocalists of her generation.
Floor was born on February 21, 1981, in Goirle and currently lives in Sweden with her husband Hannes van Dahl, drummer of Sabaton, and their two daughters Freya and Lucy.
The legend of Twilight Force began to form in 2007. It was born out of a desire to bring back the golden age of epic symphonic power metal. But Twilight Force managed to elevate the genre to new heights and sounds. The band combines triumphant melodies with rich orchestral arrangements and fast performances, creating a captivating experience.
Twilight Force released their first Adventure Metal album in 2014 – "Tales of Ancient Prophecies." They followed it with two more albums: "Heroes of Mighty Magic" (2016) and "Dawn of the Dragonstar" (2019). Their fourth album, "At the Heart of Wintervale," was released on January 20, 2023, via Nuclear Blast Records.

Midalidare Rock in the Wine Valley will be held from July 11 to 13, 2025. Tickets are available through the Eventim network across the country, as well as at OMV, NDK Ticket Center, Technopolis, and Bulgarian Post Offices.
