The Sofia Philharmonic becomes part of the concert of the sensational RICCHI E POVERI! The big news comes just days before the grand concert, which will take place on March 6 at Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture!
The production, which includes the instrumental group and singers from RICCHI E POVERI, will be complemented by over 40 musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra and will be set on several visible levels on the stage of Hall 1 at the NDK! The conductor is Maestro Alfredo Biondo. Maestro Alfredo Biondo is a graduate in “Piano, Composition, and Arrangement for Jazz Orchestra” with the highest marks and also holds an Academic diploma in musical disciplines – jazz, with a result of 110/110 with honors.
As a pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor, he has participated in numerous musical events and collaborated with artists such as Jeff Westley, Lucio Dalla, Ivana Spagna, Manuel Agnelli, Tulio De Piscopo, Nino Buonocore, Nada, Serena Brancale, Willy Peyote, Paolo Valesi, Lena Biolcati, Davide De Marinis, and frequently with Ricchi e Poveri. He has taught at various music conservatories in Italy and is currently a professor of "Pop-Rock Music Education" and coordinator of the "Jazz Music" department at the "S. Giacomantonio" faculty of the music conservatory in Cosenza.
Founded in 1892 as the Royal Orchestra by Czech conductor Josef Hochhol, and transformed in 1945 into the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the SOFIA PHILHARMONIC has long established itself as one of the leading institutions in Bulgaria's musical life, representing our entire contemporary musical culture. The orchestra’s high artistic achievements are associated with names such as Sasha Popov, Konstantin Iliev, Dobrin Petkov, Vassil Stefanov, Vladi Simeonov, Vassil Kazandjiev, Dimitar Manolov, Emil Tabakov, Julian Kovachev, and Nayden Todorov.
The orchestra's soloists have included Gena Dimitrova, Jose Carreras, Julian Rachlin, Placido Domingo, Sarah Chang, Thomas Hampson, Yuri Bashmet, Elena Bashkirova, Tabea Zimmermann, Alexandrina Pendatchanska, Sonya Yoncheva, Krasimira Stoyanova, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Maxim Vengerov, Svetlin Rusev, Angela Gheorghiu, Vadim Repin, and many other world-renowned artists.
Having started its foreign tours more than half a century ago, the Sofia Philharmonic enjoys a serious reputation and recognition worldwide. On the Saturday evening of November 30, in front of a hall filled with people of all ages at Hall 1 of the NDK, the sensational Italians RICCHI E POVERI gave a stunning concert! Now they return with a new enhanced production supported by the Sofia Philharmonic and conductor Maestro Alfredo Biondo.

Electronic tickets will be scannable at the entrance of the hall. The cloakroom will be in operation!
