Clementine Margaine (mezzosoprano) Considered one of the leading mezzosof her generation, French interpreter Clementine Margaine has gained international acclaim in recent seasons at theaters such as The Metropolitan Opera, Opera national de Paris, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro Colon among many others. Shortly after graduating from the Paris Conservatory, Clementine was named Revelation Classique Adami (2009) and Revelation Lyrique at the Victoires de la Musique (2011), and awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Concours International de Marmande. She subsequently joined the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where she sang her first performances of Carmen, a role which has gained her international acclaim and which she has since portrayed in New York City, Munich, Rome, Naples, Washington, Dallas and Toronto. She has distinguished herself as Marguerite in the new production of Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust at the Deutsche Oper Berlin (2018) and as Dalila in Saint-Saens’s Samson et Dalila, as well as Charlotte in Werther at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. More recently, she has expanded her repertoire to include Amneris in Aida and Fides in Meyerbeer’s Le Prophete, Dulcinee in Don Quichotte and Leonor in Donizetti’s La Favorite.Clementine is also an established concert soloist and has captivated audiences with her performances of Elijah in Berlin, the Mozart Requiem in Lisbon, and the Verdi Requiem in Budapest. During the 2023/24 season, Clementine appears in Il trovatore at the Teatro Regio di Parma, Aida at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, Adriana Lecouvreur at the Opera de Lyon, Opera national and Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris. Sarah Margaine (piano) After studying in Perpignan, Paris and Berlin, Sarah Margaine realizes multiple projects highlighting the eclectic nature of the piano – including on a tour with a truck-stage between Paris and Moscow. Early on, her passion for chamber and vocal music transpires in numerous performances with her sister Clementine, with flutist Samuel Bricault and in her research interest in Argentine music. Sarah is a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire (2016) and of the Fondation l'Or du Rhin (2017). Since 2022 she teaches at the Conservatoire de Saint Cloud (Paris).
